ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marcel Martin is a singer/songwriter and
musician.  He started singing at the age of 6,
and playing guitar at the age of 19.  He
learned to play by ear and he writes his own
music.  His music style captures the spirt of
folk and his catch lyrics  will leave you
humming his tunes all day.

His music includes:  The Preacher Knows,
Bonjour Marie, The Storm, Dirty Men, Coal
Mining Dragon, She’s My Girl and Same Ol’
Same Ol’.  He’s always coming up with new
songs, and has recently recorded a CD. He
has regular jam sessions with his other guitar
friends and together they can come up with
some interesting guitar rifts. My personal
two favorites are The Preacher Knows and
Bonjour Marie.

His guitar techiques are captivating, leaving
you mesmerized. He’s produced a CD he
titled “Marce Martin Raw” featuring the
above songs and more. He grew up in
Saskatchewan and moved to BC in 1980.,

 Marcel is a singer/songwriter, composer and performing artist. Most of his lyrics are mainly made up on the spot and the genre of his music is folk as he has a natural ability for good songwriting. Included on this site are many of the songs he's done. He's recorded a CD entitled Marce Martin Raw which showcases the songs: The Preacher Knows, Bonjour Marie, Lessons in Life, Coal Minin' Dragon, Spanish Love Song, Dirty Men and his artwork. His music captures the spirit of folk music, relaxing and catchy tunes.
